Collection of memorabilia and testimonies - Instytut Pileckiego
Collection of memorabilia and testimonies
With the future permanent exhibition about the Augustów Roundup at “Dom Turka” in mind, we are beginning a campaign to collect memorabilia and testimonies related to the fate of the inhabitants of Augustów and the Suwałki region in the 20th Century.
During all events that were organized in October, collectively called “Faces of the Roundup”, each resident of Augustów had the opportunity to fill out a questionnaire, donate memorabilia, and give their testimony.
We encourage everyone who is willing to share their story with us to contact us.
We will conduct recorded video interviews with witnesses of the events, which will enrich our oral history archives. We accept artefacts, memorabilia and photographs for our collections. We can digitize documents and photographs and add them to our digital collections should their owners wish to keep the originals in their private archives.
We invite everyone to fill in a special questionnaire, on the basis of which we will contact anyone who wants to share their story with us.
