The duration of the permanent exhibition is approximately 120 minutes, so we recommend arriving 2 hours before closing time.

Terms and Conditions

Basic information for visiting the permanent exhibition at the Augustów Roundup Memorial House.

Reduced fees are available upon presentation of documents confirming eligibility for the discount:

  • students of schools within the education system, students of social service colleges, students, and doctoral students
  • students of schools, students, and doctoral students who are citizens of European Union member states, the Swiss Confederation, and member states of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) – parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area
  • students of schools run by social organizations abroad, registered in a database maintained by an authorized entity reporting to the minister responsible for education and upbringing, while learning Polish, history, geography, Polish culture, or other subjects taught in Polish, no longer than until the age of 18
  • students of schools operating within the education systems of other countries while learning Polish, history, geography, Polish culture, or other subjects taught in Polish, no longer than until the age of 18
  • students of Polish sections operating in schools operating within the education systems other countries, no longer than until they reach the age of 18.
  • Students of European schools operating under the Convention on the Statute of the European Schools, signed in Luxembourg on 21 June 1994, who are learning Polish, history, geography, Polish culture, or other subjects taught in Polish, no longer than until they reach the age of 18.
  • Persons over 65 years of age, retirees, pensioners, social pensioners, as well as disabled persons and their guardians, who are citizens of European Union Member States, the Swiss Confederation, and member states of the European Free Trade Agreement (EFTA) - parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area.
  • Teachers of schools and educational institutions, juvenile detention centers, and shelters for minors.
  • Teachers of schools operating in European Union Member States, the Swiss Confederation, and member states of the European Free Trade Agreement (EFTA) - parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Economic

  • Teachers teaching Polish, history, geography, Polish culture, or other subjects taught in Polish in: schools operating within the education systems of other countries, Polish sections operating within the education systems of other countries, European schools operating under the Convention on the Statute of the European Schools, done in Luxembourg on 21 June 1994
  • Individuals awarded the badge "For the Protection of Monuments," the honorary badge "Meritorious Cultural Activist," the honorary badge "Meritorious for Polish Culture," or the honorary title "Meritorious for National Culture"; holders of the Warsaw Tourist Card
  • holders of the "Your Augustów Card"

Free admission is available upon presentation of appropriate documents to:

  • individuals awarded the Order of the White Eagle, the Virtuti Militari, the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland, or the Gloria Artis Medal for Merit to Culture
  • employees of museums listed in the State Register of Museums
  • members of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) or the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS)
  • holders of the Polish Card, as referred to in the Act of 7 September 2007 on the Polish Card
  • children up to 7 years of age
  • combatants, war invalids, victims of repression, veterans, and injured veterans
  • journalists with a valid press ID
  • members of the Advisory Council at the Augustów Roundup House of Remembrance
  • employees of the Institute of National Remembrance and other research institutes chaperones of school groups
  • Exhibition tours with Guided Tours

Audio Guide with Headphones
We offer audio guides in the following languages: Polish, English, audio description, Polish Sign Language, and a narrative version (intended for children and youth).

Tours for the Visually Impaired
Our audio guides include an audio description version (audio description of the exhibition and room). We therefore encourage visually impaired visitors to tour the Memorial House exhibition accompanied by a guardian and/or a guide.

Tours for the Hearing Impaired
The Memorial House offers tours with an audio guide in Polish Sign Language.

Rules of Conduct at the Augustów Roundup Memorial House

1. Visitors to the Memorial House are required to comply with the provisions of these regulations and the instructions of the Memorial House staff and security staff.

2. The Memorial House grounds and the Memorial House exhibitions are monitored.

3. Visitors to the Exhibition are required to leave large luggage, backpacks, bags, umbrellas, and outerwear in the cloakroom. The Institute is not responsible for the safety of any items left behind.

4. Entry to the exhibition is prohibited to individuals:

a) under the influence of alcohol, intoxicating substances, psychotropic substances, or other substances with a similar effect;

b) possessing items that pose a threat to the life, health, or safety of persons or property;

behaving aggressively, provocatively, or otherwise endangering the safety of the collections, disrupting the visiting schedule, or violating generally accepted standards of conduct in public places;

c) dressed inappropriately;

d) failing to comply with the provisions of these regulations.

5. Animals are prohibited from entering the Memorial House, with the exception of guide dogs, assistance dogs, and dogs in training, provided they present a document confirming the dog's status.

6. Visitors are prohibited from smoking tobacco products and electronic cigarettes within the Memorial House.

7. Visitors are prohibited from consuming food and alcohol within the Memorial House, except in designated areas.

8. During the Memorial House tour, running, loud behavior, or causing anxiety to other visitors is prohibited.

9. Climbing onto platforms, safety barriers, and reinforcements, as well as leaning over railings and safety barriers, is prohibited.

10. Persons suffering from anxiety related to being in confined, confined spaces (claustrophobia) or similar conditions may only visit the exhibition if accompanied by an adult free from such conditions.

11. In the event of unusual or undesirable events, please notify Memorial House staff and follow their instructions.

12. In the event of a threat to the health or life of visitors, the Memorial House reserves the right to interrupt a visit to the Memorial House exhibition.

13. In the event of an evacuation or rescue operation, all persons present on the Memorial House premises are required to immediately leave the Memorial House premises through the nearest emergency exit and follow the instructions of Memorial House staff or security staff.

14. The Memorial House may refuse admission to the exhibition or interrupt a visit to the exhibition for persons violating the regulation
